Scott Proctor (he/him)

Scott Proctor is a ceramicist and mixed media sculptor living and working in Austin, TX. Scott has is BFA in Ceramics from Western Michigan University and his MFA in Ceramics from the University of Texas at Austin. Scott has shown his work extensively in Texas and throughout the US. Scott is one of the co-founders of MASS contemporary art gallery here in East Austin. Scott is 1/2 of Nom Ceramics along with his wife Rebeca Milton. He is currently excited as it gets to be teaching and working along side of the creative community here in Austin! 

Rebeca Proctor (she/her)

Rebeca Milton is a Houston born artist living and working in Austin, Texas. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Texas at Austin in 2018. While in school, she studied sculpture using a variety of materials and processes, from casting bronze to digital fabrication. She received scholarships from UT to attend workshops at different arts organizations around the country. Rebeca spent the summer after graduation at Anderson Ranch Arts Center in Colorado, where she was the 3D Specialist intern. There, she assisted and worked with established artists from all around the world, teaching workshops on a variety of sculptural methods. She now primarily creates hand-built vessels and sculptural objects with intricately glazed surfaces. Rebeca views hand building with clay as a valuable tool to increase self-awareness, mindfulness, and creative problem solving. She’s currently teaching a hand building class at East Side Pot Shop, in addition to offering workshops to the greater Austin community. 

Ryan McKerley (he/him)

Ryan McKerley has been making pottery in East Austin since the last century. He was featured on the cover of Ceramics Monthly magazine in March 2006. Ryan loves to teach people of all ages, currently at the Dougherty Arts Center, Dobie middle school, and now at E.S.P.S. Ryan is the president of Art of the Pot Studio Tour LLC and he was one of the original 20 studios on the first year of the East Austin Studio Tour. His well-known studio on Cesar Chavez just sold for $1 million so he is now currently building a studio at his home in deeper East Austin (secret location/bat cave). He really is one of the best pottery teacher ever..... ever:)

Given McClure de Sanchez (he/they)

Given McClure began his studies in Ceramics at St. Edward’s University In Austin, TX. where he worked as a studio assistant before transferring to the University of North Texas, where he received a BFA in Studio-Art Ceramics in 2016. During this time, Given exhibited works in local, regional, and national exhibitions, receiving numerous awards as well as a Windgate Scholarship from Penland School of Crafts to attend a wood-fire workshop led by Chris Gustin. While in Denton, Given managed a local gallery that focused on the exhibition of contemporary art for a few more years before returning to Austin. In 2019 Given and his spouse Jacinda moved to Austin, TX to focus on their careers as artists and in 2021 established In Tender Company, a studio-art collaborative.

Juliana Dumas (she/her)

Juliana Dumas creates functional and sculptural handmade pottery & jewelry in Austin, TX. She received a BFA in Metalsmithing & Jewelry Design from Indiana University in 2010 and worked in several art studios in paper, glass and jewelry production before finding her passion for ceramics. Her clay practice began in Austin in 2014 and is a continuous exploration of form & surface using atmospheric firing processes. Her tactile and intricate ceramic objects are meant to elevate everyday rituals. 

Juliana currently works as a Studio Tech at Austin Pottery and is very excited to teach an upcoming class at ESPS that will focus on handbuilding with slabs and surface decoration!
